16:160:409/509 – Polymer Chemistry
Since Fall 2024, Yuwei has been teaching Chem 409/509 (Polymer Chemistry) at Rutgers University. The course is grounded in the classical physical organic chemistry foundations of polymer science while incorporating a broad range of modern topics to highlight the far-reaching impact of polymer chemistry on society.
We believe that advancing the field of polymer chemistry begins with raising public awareness of its significance in everyday life. To that end, it is essential to make educational resources openly accessible. In this spirit, all lecture slides developed for the course taught at Rutgers are shared here. If other instructors wish to incorporate our curriculum into their own teaching, PowerPoint files and problem sets are available free of charge upon reasonable request.
We sincerely hope this marks a meaningful step toward making polymer education more widely accessible to anyone interested in the subject.
01:160:316 – Honors Organic Chemistry
Since Spring 2024, Yuwei has been teaching Chem 316 (Honors Organic Chemistry) at Rutgers University. This course seeks to transform the traditional sophomore-level organic chemistry curriculum by offering an in-depth exploration of reaction mechanisms and stereoelectronic effects—topics typically covered in graduate-level advanced organic chemistry. The goal is to equip students with a robust foundation in mechanistic reasoning, empowering them with insights that will serve them well across diverse scientific disciplines.
